All of our supervisors, assemblers, and technicians receive IPC-A-610 training and certification. This means employees are cross-trained to recognize and prevent defects.
JPD Controls adds to this knowledge through our own in-house training. Employees are trained in hand and machine soldering techniques, stressing the differences of many solder and flux chemistries. They also receive an extensive course in component identification.
Material control for correct components is present in all phases of assembly, from incoming inspection through final test. Manufacturing and inspection steps are inserted to ensure correct components, orientation, solder joint quality, overall appearance, and protection coverage. We utilize Vision Engineering Mantis Stereo Microscopes for inspection and repair. These greatly increase our ability to pinpoint defects or problems.
All of our manufacturing processes are electronically documented with detailed instructions and full color pictures. These documents are rigorously controlled and reviewed to keep them accurate and current. The paperless system allows our assemblers to have constant access to the latest revision.
